The next Apple Watch will reportedly include a body temperature sensor that will alert you when you have a fever, according to leaker Mark Gurman. The Series 8 will not provide an exact reading, but it could send a notification asking you to see a doctor or use a thermometer.

This is not the first time that Gurman has mentioned the possibility of the Series 8 including a temperature sensor. He first mentioned that Apple was working on the feature in June 2021, and reported that it would likely arrive with the line of devices company laptops by 2022.

He backed off that prediction in January, warning fans that blood temperature control was among a handful of capabilities that were a few years away.
